focus from theoretical adoption to pragmatic execution, embedding AI directly into turnaround and restructuring engagements. In Europe, AI-related work already accounts for nearly 20% of revenues, a trend the firm is now accelerating across North America and Asia through enterprise-wide deployments and operating model redesigns.

The firm is fueling this pivot by poaching senior talent from major competitors, most notably Malka Katzin, who joined as Chief AI & Knowledge Officer from Boston Consulting Group. Alongside COO Steve Wallace, Katzin is tasked with coordinating a firm-wide approach to scaling internal and client-facing AI capabilities. This board will oversee governance and risk management while ensuring AI tools are integrated into core service lines. Katzin noted that the firm’s operational rigor is a natural fit for the technology's evolution, stating, “AI is breaking the traditional consulting model—and we are built for what comes next.”

By prioritizing measurable outcomes over digital theory, A&M intends to use AI to amplify its existing operator-led model. The board’s mandate includes reshaping how organizations operate at scale and driving cost efficiencies through process transformations. This disciplined approach aims to treat AI as a tool for lasting competitive advantage rather than a standalone experiment. Antonio Alvarez III emphasized that the firm is applying the technology with a focus on real-world utility, stating, “At A&M, we are applying AI with the same pragmatism and discipline we bring to everything we do.”
