The acquisition includes Astreya's proprietary AI OpsHub platform, which features modules for readiness assessment, signal intelligence, and agentic automation. This engine currently manages data center infrastructure, AI lab environments, and enterprise networks for major technology companies. Surya Gummadi, President of Cognizant Americas, noted that hyperscaler capital spending is nearing $400 billion annually, making AI infrastructure investment a "critical path for future economic and job growth."
For existing clients, the merger provides immediate access to accelerators and hyperscaler-hardened talent. Astreya’s ecosystem partnerships with Google Cloud Platform and ServiceNow will integrate into Cognizant's global delivery infrastructure. Romil Bahl, President and CEO of Astreya, noted that joining Cognizant is the natural next chapter after years of "fundamental redesigning how managed services are delivered." Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
