in artificial intelligence, digital risk, and regulatory compliance. Based in Sydney, Henney will focus on AI governance, data privacy, cyber risk, information security, and data resilience.

Henney brings more than a decade of experience advising clients on data breaches, investigations, enforcement matters, and enterprise-wide governance programs. Before joining the firm, Henney led privacy and data protection work in Australia at a Big Four consultancy, and also held positions in corporate law as well as banking and finance.

The appointment comes as companies across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region face tighter scrutiny over data handling and AI deployment. Veeral Gosalia, Head of FTI Technology in Asia Pacific, said the country’s privacy and AI rules are becoming harder for companies to navigate and added that Henney’s arrival would deepen the firm’s support for clients managing digital risk.

Henney stated, “Clients need support from experts who understand the technology just as well as they understand the risk landscape. That’s exactly what our team brings to the table.” She added that organizations need stronger education, testing, and oversight from the start of deployment.
