E-commerce brands have more tools, platforms, and data available than ever, but growth still depends on how well the day-to-day operations are managed. Advertising, account health, inventory, listing optimization, and platform expansion can quickly become difficult to coordinate, especially as more sellers try to understand where AI and automation actually fit.
At SPCTEK, the focus is on helping e-commerce brands turn everyday operations into scalable growth. Many sellers struggle to integrate AI effectively, manage performance, control ad spend, and expand across e-commerce platforms. SPCTEK addresses those challenges by combining hands-on marketplace experience with digital marketing expertise and practical AI solutions.
Afraz Minhas, CEO and Co-Founder, brings more than two decades of experience across technology, e-commerce, and operations leadership. He focuses on leveraging AI and process automation to simplify operations, helping businesses achieve long-term growth through results-driven strategies. In the following interview, he discusses how e-commerce brands are adapting to increasing competition and automation, what differentiates SPCTEK’s approach, and why execution and consistency are key to long-term success.
This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
“Our AI and automation solutions are grounded in structured systems, not random AI tools, adding real value in improving operational efficiency.”
The Consulting Report: Can you provide an overview of your firm's areas of specialization, whether based on sectors or functional areas?
Afraz Minhas: At SPCTEK, we specialize in AI, digital marketing, and e-commerce solutions, providing end-to-end strategies that help global brands launch, grow, and scale more efficiently. Our approach is centered on driving measurable results, including increased revenue per customer and lower operational costs.
We focus on growing sales volume while maintaining strong profit margins through tested and data-backed strategies in account management, PPC, SEO/AEO, inventory, and listing optimization. We also support sellers with account health, reinstatement, product research, and scaling operations across multiple channels.
Our AI and automation solutions are grounded in structured systems, not random AI tools, adding real value in improving operational efficiency. Our primary strength is rooted in execution and strategy grounded in real experience.
What makes our approach effective is that it combines years of real marketplace experience with data-driven decision-making. Whether a client is launching their first product or scaling an established brand, our goal is to help them grow in a consistent, sustainable way.
The Consulting Report: How does your firm differentiate itself from competitors?
Afraz Minhas: Our biggest differentiator is that we are deeply hands-on. Many firms only focus on high-level strategy, but we work directly inside client accounts, managing campaigns, solving issues, and optimizing performance in real time.
We have firsthand experience dealing with platform challenges like policy changes, fluctuating ad performance, and account suspensions. We also combine execution with smart use of AI. Instead of relying only on tools or only on manual work, we bring both together in a practical way that improves results.
Another key difference is our mindset. We treat every client’s business as if it were our own. That means being proactive, responsive, and focused on outcomes that directly impact growth and profitability.
The Consulting Report: How would you describe your firm’s culture?
Afraz Minhas: Our culture is built around ownership, adaptability, and continuous learning. We operate in a fast-changing environment, where policies, tools, and strategies keep evolving, so we encourage our team to stay curious and keep improving their skills. At the same time, we emphasize accountability, and everyone is expected to take responsibility for their work and focus on delivering measurable results.
We keep our structure lean and collaborative, which allows us to move quickly and stay closely aligned with our clients. There is a strong sense of teamwork, but also a high level of individual ownership.
Overall, it is a practical and performance-driven culture, where learning and execution go hand in hand.
“We help SMBs cut through the AI confusion and apply smart, secure automation to solve real business problems.”
The Consulting Report: Has the increasing prevalence of AI changed the types of client mandates you are hired for?
Afraz Minhas: Yes. Earlier, clients were mostly curious about AI. Now, they are looking for practical ways to use it to improve operational efficiency and performance. This includes areas like data management and analysis, inventory forecasting, revenue protection, ad campaign optimization, reinstatement assessment, and private LLM deployment.
Many SMBs struggle with AI adoption, unsure where to start or what will actually deliver results. We help SMBs cut through the AI confusion and apply smart, secure automation to solve real business problems. We have recently launched SPCTEK.AI, a dedicated AI services platform designed to solve practical operational issues faced by SMBs.
However, AI has not replaced the need for expertise. Clients still rely on us for strategy, decision-making, and platform-specific knowledge.
What has changed is the expectation. Businesses want faster insights, better accuracy, and more scalable systems. AI helps support that, but it works best when combined with structured systems and real operational experience.
The Consulting Report: Is there a book, mentor, or mantra that has influenced how you lead your organization?
Afraz Minhas: My leadership philosophy is centered on clarity, ownership, and continuous improvement. I believe teams perform best when they clearly understand the goal and are trusted to execute.
If there’s a mantra I return to, it is this: build systems, not just habits. In fast-moving industries like e-commerce and digital marketing, personal habits break down under pressure. Systems hold. That idea shapes how I think about everything from team structure to client delivery.
I am also a continuous learner by necessity. I draw from a wide range of sources, industry leaders, operational frameworks, and direct experience, rather than any single book or mentor. What matters is applying the right lesson at the right moment, and building an environment where others can do the same.
