Global health and technology advisory firm Nordic Consulting announced the acquisition of Hygeian, a healthcare consulting firm that provides services to public and private sector clients across the U.K. and Middle East. Hygeian will join the Nordic Global family of companies, which includes Bails, Healthtech, and S&P Consultants.
Hygeian was founded in 2011 by David Chevins, utilizing a unique management consultancy model to enable clients to take advantage of top independent healthcare management consultants at a budget-friendly rate. The firm has a network of more than 300 highly skilled and experienced management consultants from clinical, financial, and technical backgrounds.

The acquisition is Nordic’s sixth in recent years and stands to bolster Nordic’s early 2022 creation of an EMEIA healthcare advisory team, which was launched in an effort to support healthcare organizations and companies beyond North America.
The team’s initial focus has been on the U.K., Europe, and the Middle East, offering a range of advisory and IT implementation services such as digital health systems implementation benefits realization, health systems integration and sustainability, and clinical, operational, and financial performance optimization. The EMEIA advisory team is headed up by Jo Smith, Healthcare Advisory Services Leader, with Gary Howe as the Strategy Advisor and Nene Antonio as the U.K. NHS Healthcare Advisory Services Leader.
Nordic’s global team of more than 2,000 professionals, along with its network of companies, support more than 700 clients in areas such as strategic advisory, implementation and support, digital and cloud initiatives, and enterprise technology transformation. The firm is sure to make good use of Hygeian’s U.K. presence to reinforce its offerings there and on the continent.
