NTT DATA has signed a definitive agreement to acquire specialized cloud partner WinWire, a move to capture a larger slice of the enterprise Microsoft Azure market. The buyout brings WinWire’s specialized engineering talent and autonomous workflow frameworks directly into NTT DATA’s Global Business Unit for Microsoft Cloud. Once the deal clears customary regulatory reviews, the Santa Clara-based firm will serve as a core delivery engine for NTT DATA’s enterprise AI scaling strategy.

The transaction absorbs WinWire's specialized Agentic AI @ Scale framework, a proprietary architecture built to deploy autonomous systems directly into corporate operations. The acquisition also transfers more than 1,000 Azure engineers and Microsoft specialists into NTT DATA's workforce, expanding its current footprint of 24,000 Microsoft certifications across more than 50 countries. WinWire’s existing position inside the Microsoft Agentic Partner Alliance Program will be used to build out production-ready data systems utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry.

The combined entity will focus on co-selling industry-specific cloud tools alongside Microsoft, leveraging WinWire's local delivery infrastructure in the United States and India. Rothschild & Co served as the exclusive financial advisor to NTT DATA for the transaction. Commenting on the corporate integration, Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer of NTT DATA, stated that the acquisition "positions us to lead the shift to enterprise AI, enabling clients to move from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment."
