Prior to WP&C, Perumal was an officer in the U.S. Navy. He then went on to work as an engineer/project manager for Beal Aerospace Technologies before becoming a senior associate consultant with Bain & Company. Immediately before WP&C, Perumal served as a senior executive for Accenture after it acquired George Group Consulting, for which Perumal was a Principal. He earned a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical/astronautical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
