Slalom has appointed Nicole Michaels as Global Insurance Leader as the consulting firm expands its work with insurers navigating AI adoption, core platform modernization, and changing risk profiles. Michaels brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience to the role, where she will guide client strategy and technology transformation across property and casualty, commercial, specialty, life, annuity, retirement, and employee benefits sectors.

Michaels joins Slalom after holding senior leadership roles at EY and Accenture, where she led large-scale transformation initiatives for life insurers and property and casualty carriers. She will work closely with Slalom's market and account teams to identify client priorities, expand customer relationships, and help insurers move from strategy to execution. Michaels also serves on the Board of Directors for West Bend Insurance, bringing governance experience from within the insurance industry.

The appointment comes as insurers continue investing in data, AI, and insurtech while responding to evolving customer expectations and new operational challenges. Channie Mize, Global Industry Leader at Slalom, said Michaels "knows how to turn big strategies into real, operational execution." Michaels said insurers are "at a pivotal moment" as they rethink how they grow, modernize, serve customers, and build organizations.
