Buchanan & Edwards Expands National Security Practice With Acquisition Of RenXTech

Technology services firm Buchanan & Edwards (BE) has announced its acquisition of technical and tactical consulting services firm RenXTech. Details of the transaction were not publicly disclosed.

RenXTech, previously known as Renegade Technology, is a leader in delivering cybersecurity, analytical, technical, and operational support to national security missions in the federal government as well as the commercial sector. Leveraging a team of experts with deep technical expertise and specialized knowledge, the firm helps customers identify potential threats, secure vulnerabilities, defend critical data and systems, and ultimately accomplish their missions. Founded in 2014, the firm is a recognized leader within the national security industry.

BE was founded in 1998 and has served as a partner on missions critical to the defense, intelligence, and law enforcement sectors. The firm provides information technology consulting services that leverage technology to reduce costs and expand opportunities, empowering clients to be more efficient, smarter, and faster while realizing the best value for their investments.

"RenXTech was a great fit for us in every category. Culturally, their focus on the customer, the mission, and their employees paralleled ours, and we share common values with their team, including our companies' shared purpose of solving challenges of national security significance to protect the American People," said Eric Olson, Chief Executive Officer of BE. "Together, we will leverage new capabilities for key and emerging accounts and cross-promote capabilities and services that augment and complement each other."

As a wholly owned subsidiary, RenXTech will also incorporate BE’s other subsidiary, R2C, under its brand. The merger falls under the leadership of Daniel Smith, the former CEO of RenXTech who will head the new organization as President of Intel Operations, with former R2C CEO Tara Davey becoming COO at BE. Both organizations provide essential support on critical defense, law enforcement, and intelligence missions, delivering a broad range of solutions and services geared toward meeting the most significant national security challenges of today and tomorrow. This latest acquisition will see BE and its subsidiaries moving forward with an expanded footprint and capabilities to meet their clients’ needs.
