Many have steered large-scale transformations at global firms, while others bring specialized knowledge in auditing, solvency, and internal controls.

These leaders have advanced compliance with evolving standards such as IFRS 17 and Solvency II, led organizational and portfolio restructuring, and uncovered risks that could compromise stability. Their contributions show how consultants both address immediate challenges and position insurers to manage long-term shifts redefining the industry.
Among this year’s awardees, Alissa Ristic, Managing Director at KPMG, is recognized for leading the firm’s Digital Insurance practice and Global Claims solutions, advising insurers in the U.S. and UK on digital transformation, multichannel distribution, and operational excellence. Chris Raimondo, Partner at EY and Americas Insurance Consulting Leader, is noted for driving strategy and execution across business, technology, AI and data, risk and actuarial, and workforce consulting, with a focus on modernizing core operations for property and casualty and life and annuity carriers. Matt Edwards, Senior Director at Slalom, is known for helping establish the firm’s Global Insurance Industry practice, where he guides clients through strategic transformation initiatives including AI-enabled underwriting and claims, cloud migration, and the redesign of data infrastructure to improve decision-making.

1. Alissa Ristic

Title: Managing Director
Alissa Ristic is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Insurance Operations practice with almost 20 years of consulting and insurance industry experience across the value chain, including claims, underwriting, and broking. She also has an extensive background serving in senior leadership roles within insurtechs.
Ristic has worked in both the U.S. and UK insurance markets driving digital transformation, enhancing carrier speed to market across multichannel distribution models, and customer and operational excellence. She currently leads KPMG’s Digital Insurance practice and Global claims solutions, where her focus is providing insurance clients with more personalized, convenient, and cost-effective services by using digital technologies to make improvements to process, products, and services.
Ristic holds a master’s degree in risk management and insurance, is a Chartered Insurance Broker, and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. She was recognized as a Top 25 Insurance Consultant and Leader in 2023 and 2024 by The Consulting Report as well as a Top 50 Women Leader of Boston by Women We Admire. She is also a member of Chief and provides mentorship to female talent developing their careers.

2. Chris Raimondo

Chris Raimondo is a Partner in the Ernst & Young LLP Insurance sector and currently serves as the Americas Insurance Consulting Leader. In his role, he drives the strategy and go-to-market execution for the consulting business, and leads the comprehensive portfolio of solutions EY provides to its insurance clients, consisting of business, technology, AI and data, risk and actuarial, and workforce consulting. He has more than 20 years of global experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on the modernization of core business operations through the implementation of technology. Chris has a strong track record of building high-performing, diverse teams and delivering complex transformation programs at major domestic and international property and casualty and life and annuity insurance carriers.
Prior to this role, Chris led the Technology practice for the EY Insurance sector. He was a founding member of the EY Guidewire Alliance practice and has also served in leadership roles in EY’s finance and property and casualty insurance businesses.
Chris is a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurship from the Miami University of Ohio and a master’s degree in accounting from DePaul University.

3. Heidi Deringer

4. Dave Vorbrich

In his role, Vorbrich advises insurance clients on technology strategy and transformation, with a focus on digital innovation, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. He also collaborates with senior leadership to strengthen KPMG’s global insurance technology capabilities.
Previously, Vorbrich was chief information officer at Phoenix Group and partner – global insurance technology at Deloitte. Earlier in his career, he worked with Electronic Book Technologies as a software quality tester. Vorbrich earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Tufts University and a master’s degree in computer science from Brown University.
5. Robert Howe

Earlier in his career, he served as chief of staff to the CFO and a member of the board of directors at Tenaris. Messineo holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina.
