Charles River Associates Bolsters IP Practice with Key Hires from Kroll

Boston-based management consultancy Charles River Associates (CRA) has strengthened its intellectual property (IP) practice with the addition of 20 consultants from Kroll's IP advisory services practice. Led by vice presidents Chris Bakewell and Julia Rowe, the majority of the team is based in Houston, with Rowe situated in Chicago. This move marks a significant enhancement to CRA's IP expertise, as stated by Paul Maleh, CRA's President and CEO, who expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with Bakewell and Rowe, both of whom previously worked at CRA.

With over 30 years of experience, including leadership roles at Kroll, Bakewell brings extensive expertise in IP valuation, licensing, and strategy. His accreditation as a senior appraiser and certified licensing professional further solidifies his standing as a recognized expert in the field. Meanwhile, Rowe, with more than 15 years of experience, has a background in managing IP-related cases, including patent infringement and trademark disputes. Both Bakewell and Rowe's return to CRA underscores the firm's commitment to providing comprehensive solutions to clients navigating complex IP challenges in an era of rapid technological evolution, as highlighted by Daniel McGavock, leader of CRA's IP practice.
