Huron has acquired RelateCare, expanding its healthcare managed services business with AI-enabled patient access, scheduling, and clinical triage capabilities. Mark Hussey, Chief Executive Officer and president of Huron, said the acquisition “creates a comprehensive managed service solution to better serve health systems by combining Huron’s deep care transformation and patient access expertise with RelateCare’s AI-enabled managed services offerings.”
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed by either party. Structurally, RelateCare will be integrated into Huron's Healthcare operating segment, specifically sitting within its consulting and managed services capability. The acquisition aims to address operational bottlenecks in health systems by driving changes in patient access, administrative throughput, and general care coordination.
The acquired firm's operating model links clinical triage and scheduling data to manage engagement levels for both patients and clinicians. Conor O’Byrne, chief executive officer of RelateCare, stated that joining the firm "allows us to scale our capabilities, expand our reach, and bring our AI-enabled solutions to a broader set of healthcare organizations." The combined service model will be deployed to assist healthcare clients with measurable operational and financial metrics across the patient care cycle.
