Tata Consultancy Services has partnered with Anthropic to deploy the Claude model family into active production, targeting highly regulated industries where strict compliance requirements routinely stall AI pilots. The collaboration establishes a dedicated business unit to deliver joint solutions across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public services, telecom, aviation, and medtech.
The rollout begins internally, with the firm equipping 50,000 associates across engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales through enterprise-wide licensing. This deployment provides firsthand data to guide client integrations while expanding Anthropic’s footprint in India, its second-largest market.
Specific operations are scheduled for immediate integration. Diligenta, the firm’s UK-regulated life and pensions business serving 22 million customers, will implement Claude for process transformation, while financial services teams will use Claude Code for software engineering. In India, the TCS iON assessment platform, which manages 75 million annual examinations, will launch specialized AI certification programs.
The partnership introduces engineering expertise to the Claude Code ecosystem via reusable plugins for claims adjudication and lending advisory. K Krithivasan, CEO and MD of the firm, stated that the collaboration will "help customers move faster to production, especially in industries where trust, resilience, and regulatory discipline are critical."
