Digital transformation assignments are complicated, especially for an organization as large as GEFCO. The company is a world leader in multimodal supply-chain solutions and the European leader in automotive logistics. It has a 15,000-strong workforce and is present in 47 countries.
The project is expected to take at least five years to complete. While no terms of the deal were disclosed, one might expect, this is a major event for Infosys. GEFCO is a formidable enterprise generating revenues of €4.6 billion in 2018 alone.
CIO of GEFCO, Jean-Luc Galzi, said, “We are pleased to begin our digital transformation journey with Infosys. Digital innovation in the supply chain sector is key and our new partnership will help strengthen GEFCO’s expertise and bring value to our customers.”
Infosys EVP and Global Head for Retail CPG & Logistics, Karmesh Vaswani, commented, “We have a shared vision on the ‘Art of Possible’ and will apply our Live Enterprise approach to help scale new performance thresholds and further enhance the market leadership of GEFCO.”
GEFCO designs flexible solutions to meet the most complex supply-chain challenges in every industry sector. With an integrated global network, GEFCO serves 300 destinations worldwide.
