Chartis, a healthcare advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Jeff Weiss as Managing Partner to co-lead its Strategic Transformation practice. Weiss brings over 30 years of experience across both public and private sectors, focusing on strategy development, partnership management, and organizational change. At Chartis, he will lead a team dedicated to helping clients manage complex agreements, implement strategies, foster innovation, and strengthen board governance. Chartis President Greg Maddrey stated, “His proven track record directing complex provider transformation engagements, extensive leadership in the public sector, and rich history of leading high-performing teams make him ideally suited to help our clients reshape healthcare for the better.”
Before joining Chartis, Weiss served as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Mass General Brigham, managing system-wide strategy, clinical partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and diversified businesses. He has also held roles as President of Lesley University and Partner at consulting firms, including Vantage Partners, which he co-founded. Weiss has a strong academic background, holding a bachelor of arts degree in government from Dartmouth and a JD from Harvard Law School. He is also recognized for his contributions to negotiation education, having taught at Dartmouth’s Tuck School and the U.S. Military Academy, and authored the HBR Guide to Negotiating.
