cybersecurity risks, even as leaders remain cautiously positive in select areas. Life sciences executives report mixed views on the current U.S. administration’s impact on the sector, alongside concerns that proposed policies could raise patient costs and disrupt supply chains. 

The survey also shows sustained interest in artificial intelligence, with 59% of respondents planning to increase AI-related budgets in 2026, including use across operations, financial analysis, patient support, and communications. At the same time, cybersecurity preparedness appears to be weakening, as fewer organizations report having crisis plans or conducting simulations. Leaders expect mergers and acquisitions to rise next year, but optimism around IPOs and fundraising has softened.
