IQVIA, a multinational provider of clinical research services and healthcare intelligence, has introduced the Clinical Trial Financial Suite (CTFS), an AI-enabled platform designed to unify and automate financial operations in clinical trials. The solution integrates budgeting, contracting, forecasting, and payments into one system, reducing inefficiencies caused by siloed workflows.
The first module, CTFS Site Payments, applies agentic AI to streamline budgets, invoice processing, and anomaly detection, enabling financial teams to shift focus from manual administration to higher-value tasks. IQVIA projects the platform could reduce processing time by up to 50%. Bernd Haas, Senior Vice President, Digital Products & Solutions at IQVIA, noted, “From protocol to payments, we’re connecting and simplifying financial processes into a seamless, transparent experience for sponsors, CROs, and study sites alike.”
The company emphasized that CTFS combines enterprise-grade security with automation to address one of the most burdensome trial challenges. By offering transparency and scalability, the platform supports sponsors, contract research organizations, and study sites through a consistent financial framework. With CTFS, IQVIA aims to streamline clinical trial finances while advancing responsible AI use to support faster, more efficient drug development worldwide.
