PwC has entered a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services to help healthcare organizations modernize revenue cycle operations through cloud-based and AI-enabled services. Under the initiative, PwC’s Revenue Cycle Managed Services will run on AWS, enabling providers and payers to improve financial performance while simplifying complex billing and reimbursement processes. The collaboration focuses on deploying new AI agents and digital tools that deliver real-time insights, automate manual workflows, and improve the patient financial experience.
Tim Canonico, PwC Global & U.S. Managed Services Leader, said, “Our collaboration with AWS addresses a critical industry challenge: healthcare organizations are drowning in fragmented systems that create friction instead of resolution,” adding that the joint approach allows organizations to redirect effort from administrative tasks to patient care.
By leveraging AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Connect, and AWS HealthLake, PwC will enable clients to select AI foundation models tailored to their specific revenue cycle needs. This capability speeds claims processing, reduces denials, and improves collections while addressing labor and cost pressures.
Canonico noted that combining PwC’s operational expertise with AWS’s AI capabilities “can help organizations reduce administrative burden in healthcare financing and billing and focus more resources on improving patient care and healthcare outcomes.” The collaboration also aligns with PwC’s broader managed services strategy, which centers on delivering measurable business outcomes by integrating people, data, and advanced technology within secure and scalable cloud environments.
