Accenture Acquires Intellera Consulting to Bolster Public Sector Expertise

Accenture has finalized the acquisition of Intellera Consulting, a leading consultancy focused on public sector innovation in Italy. Announced on April 2, 2024, the acquisition enhances Accenture's workforce with an additional 1,400 experts with expertise in technology, strategy, and consulting for the public sector and healthcare. Intellera Consulting was founded in 2021 with funding from Gyrus Capital. It uses its knowledge of data and artificial intelligence to assist public sector enterprises with organizational, strategic, and digital changes, including the utilization of EU funds like the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The interdisciplinary team at Intellera Consulting works with Italian healthcare providers to create more inclusive, flexible, and sustainable systems. They are based in Milan and Rome. Accenture's expansion plan in Italy is reinforced by this acquisition, which comes after it recently acquired public sector service companies SirfinPA and Customer Management IT. The purchase represents Accenture's commitment to growing its capabilities in the public sector through strategic investments and expertise enhancement—the details of the arrangement are undisclosed.
