CGI Announces Reorganization Of CGI Federal To Meet New Government Priorities

Multinational IT consulting and systems integration company CGI Inc. recently announced its reorganization of CGI Federal, which serves the U.S. government, to support an increased alignment with the priorities of the new administration. Adding strategic senior talent, establishing integration of advisory services and emerging technologies, and reorganizing business units to promote greater collaboration are some of the steps taken in the company’s effort to evolve with their clients’ needs.

"This evolution of talent deployment strengthens CGI Federal's ability to advise and execute on tomorrow's challenges as federal agencies evolve in their digital transformations and system modernizations. We are now better positioned to harness CGI global government and commercial successes to benefit our U.S. government clients," stated Stephanie Mango, President of CGI Federal. "We're thrilled that these talented leaders will chart our course for the coming years for our clients and our company."

The new business unit structure for CGI Federal was laid out in the release, with the Civilian; Defense, Intelligence and Space; Health and Social Services; International Affairs National Security and Justice; and Regulatory units all receiving new leadership strongly aligned with federal government needs. The new leaders, hailing from both the public and private sectors, bring decades of success in their respective fields and broad experience in leadership of complex national and international implementations to the table. Overseeing a wide variety of client domains, the new structure is well-prepared to adapt to the ongoing evolution of government priorities and needs.

The company’s strategy includes the introduction of the new Consulting, Applications, Solutions, and Technology (CAST) practice, focused on leveraging CGI’s deep understanding of federal priorities to provide insights and technology advisory services centered around Immigration, Space, Sustainability, Health, Public Services, Intelligence, Supply Chain, and Back Office Management.

As one of the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world with a FY2020 reported revenue of $9.68 billion, CGI has clearly committed to embracing the many changes that have occurred at the federal government level, and is positioning itself to continue to exceed expectations while driving the digital transformation of client organizations.
