Systems Integration Company Advoco Acquired By Accenture

International professional services company Accenture recently announced the acquisition of Advoco, one of the largest systems integrators for enterprise asset management software-as-a-service suite Infor EAM. While the terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed, it is known that the acquisition is intended to help Accenture expand its capacity to aid clients in building safer, more sustainable, and more cost-effective operations and supply chain functions.

Greenville, South Carolina-based Advoco was founded in 2002 and has been repeatedly named Infor EAM Partner of the Year. The company specializes in guiding clients to increase productivity, enhance predictive maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce energy usage, and improve reliability. Advoco will join Accenture’s Industry X group in the U.S., building on its industry-leading suite of services supporting the digital transformation of clients’ engineering and maintenance, factory floor, and plant operations.

Marty Osborn, partner at Advoco, stated, “Becoming part of the Accenture Industry X family is an incredible opportunity for our clients and our employees. Accenture’s capabilities and expertise enable us to bring more cutting-edge, innovative work to our clients and grow as a team and as individuals. We’re excited to deliver outstanding expertise in the design, consultation and implementation of Infor EAM to even more companies and markets.”

The move comes as Accenture continues to expand its Industry X initiative and is the latest in a series of 24 acquisitions since 2017. Past acquisitions include engineering consulting firm Umlaut, operations technology provider Electro 80 in Australia, industrial robotics and automation provider Pollux in Brazil, operations consultancy Myrtle in the U.S., and technology consultancy firm SALT Solutions in Germany.

With Advoco’s solutions and services geared toward helping clients support the long-term reliability and extended livecycle of critical assets, the union looks to be a solid move for both businesses. Matching Advoco’s demonstrable expertise in Infor EAM with Accenture’s well known success in the professional services industry will provide the newly acquired firm with an international reach to match its industry-leading Infor EAM systems integration services.
