Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) announced the launch of its latest offering: a consulting service to support healthcare providers in their quest to reduce clinical variation and achieve organizational savings targets. The new offering, dubbed Lumere Consulting Services (Lumere), will focus on high-priority, large-value projects dedicated to empowering health systems and hospitals to pursue future projects and drive lasting savings.
With the post-pandemic business environment continuing to squeeze hospital operating margins, many organizations are turning their focus onto clinically integrated strategic sourcing projects as a means of achieving savings. Lumere’s new services will help hospitals pressed by ongoing staffing shortages alleviate capacity constraints and accelerate speed to value by providing dedicated project management support to supply chain teams.

The new consulting arm’s services include strategic clinical sourcing consulting, which will help build clinically informed and aligned sourcing strategies, as well as value analysis governance to help organizations go beyond the supply chain department to create a culture of evidence-based value analysis stream-wide. Lumere’s team of experienced consultants will work with project stakeholders to develop sourcing and utilization goals and then work with physicians to gain alignment on cost-reduction strategies, operating on-site, virtually, or in a hybrid capacity, ultimately enabling health systems to implement future cost-saving initiatives without the need for additional consulting work.
